Default AJo FTP 50r final table.

Don't have the HH but here are close estimates.

Folds to button (52k). Hero is SB (82K). Hero is 4th in chips average is about 65k.

Blinds 1200/2400/(ante)

Folds to button who makes it 12k to go (wtf?).

Hero is in the SB w/ A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Move?

An unusually large raise is not a reason for me to fold here. Also, you cover Villain by 30K and losing does not put you in the danger zone.

How much has the big blind got?

Could be the button is bet-sizing so he's commited if one of you re-raises but plans on folding to the other?

Have you seen ANY of button's play before the FT? Have you seen any hand that he has got it in with so far?

I probably fold, if he made a normal raise of 2-3bb i probably woulda pushed.

Alot depends on BB stack size aswell as some other variables already mentioned...
But having said that what could his range be? Most likely not jj-aa/ak i would think... with info provided it seems like a standard button squeeze to me. The best i put him on is something like 33-99, but i'd say ATC is possible... i think i'd push here and watch him fold like a little girl.

With just the SB&BB left isnt he more likely to actually have a hand that he wants to get played if he put in a more standard raise? I think so, he's not gonna bet you out (12k) with his AA when it gets folded all the way around to his button.

To push here I really think you need some knowledge of villain. It's not too big a leap to see tricky villain with big pair doing some non-standard 3rd level thinking. He may very well be trying to induce the shove.

I've been burned in similar situations a few times. There's a growing number of players out there who know that making a big hand look like an oversized blind steal can induce the shove.

Villian was unknown to me, I forgot his name but he wasnt a regular or anything afaik. The big blinds stack was not being targeted by the raise. This is within 12 hands of being at the FT.
