Default $100 in Vegas

I've got $100 dollars and three days to gamble with it in Vegas. I know it's not much, but it's all I can afford to lose. I am looking for a few places where I could take the roll I have sit down at a poker table and walk away up more than what I came in with. Any suggestions?

Its 10,000 credits at the penny slot machines. If you can still find the ones that only require 9 lines, you could sit there all weekend.

luxor has $50max 1-2 NL , you can reload when you are under $50 though...

but thats "2 buyins" so maybe there?

or tropicana seems to have loose games.

$100 is a nice solid buyin for 2/4. It could last you a couple hours. It's a half-buy at most NL1/2 games. Probably will last you 15 minutes.

If you come to Vegas with a $100 poker roll expecting to leave with a profit, you have every probability of being disappointed. Plan to lose it and plan for the "entertainment" to not last very long.

I normally sit with 200-300 for the 1/2 nl and still only sit with 80 - 100 if i ever decide to get wasted and be stupid at the 2-4 table. 100 is more than enough to play 2/4 and if you just stick to big draws you will even make some money. Just drink for free and wait for monsters. you will lose around 20 bucks chasing and rake in over 80 dollar pots when you fill up.

Why on earth would you put your entire trip's bankroll on the table? Some $1-2 games obviously don't require $100 min. (since the Luxor is $50 max). You'd do better there.

Agreed 100%. But we seem to agree you can do some things to make it last longer than other things. 18 hours is better than 15 minutes.

My suggestion if you want to play poker: Buy into a $2/4 limit game for the minimum buy-in. I believe 5 BBet is standard, so that's $20. When you bust out, get up and walk around for a while.

Short-stacked limit is certainly suboptimal for good players in most cases. For bankroll preservation, though, what else can you do?

I did this a bit in Tunica, when I either wanted to visit a given casino (Sam's Town) but didn't want to buy in for $100 to the $1-2 and didn't want to take on the full variance of limit, or when another room's $50 min. $1-2 hadn't started yet and I needed to play $4/8. Sure, I was sacrificing EV, but busting out and driving home would have sacrificed EV.

(If Neteller would let me get at 40% of my poker bankroll, I'd think about these things a lot less. )

You just need a soft game, I sat down at a 4/8 game at the Venetian with $100, left 4 hours later +140.
