Default 10/20 HU first hand in..

10/20 online.. game was going 3 handed for a few mins but other guy got stacked and left. I've won a few small pots but haven't had any real confrontations accept for when I 4-bet a guy PF and he folded in SB.

its HU now.. same guy from the 4-bet before.. I have ~$2100 villain covers. I raise the button 4h7h he calls. Flop K7K one heart, check, I bet 2/3 pot and he calls. Turn is 10h, he checks, I bet 2/3 the pot and he c/r's me the minimum.. I pause and call. River is a blank heart he bets and I shove.. good/bad? He made his actions relatively quick accetp for the turn c/r.. he tanked it for a lil bit.

I would've possibly checked turn and probably folded to the min raise. As played I'm pretty sure you have to shove the river.

i think i might c/c the turn or fold to the min raise but as played it looks like trip kings cuz i dont see one of those other cards hitting a boat for him, i think we push here and stack him

looks standard/good to me.

i would only check the turn if you think you can get stacks in on the river against a K anyhow when you get there.

i was pretty sure he'd auto call w/ any K on the river regardless, and we still had a decent amount of our stacks left.. just wondering if the shove is the best move

Hi Bill,

Of course you should shove the river here; you're ahead very often, and he calls with a lot of hands you beat. I don't really see what betting the turn would accomplish, though, unless you expect him to bluff you a lot there, or shove a 7 that you're usually freerolling (or close to it) against. There's little value in protecting your hand, since overcards are drawing thin, and I don't think you can make any better hands fold with that turn bet. Really, you just open yourself up to getting popped by a K.
