Hi I'm new to NLH, I think I'm supposed to keep the pot smaller here. Same thing that baffles me everytime I play NLH how to keep the pot small without giving free cards :s Hows my line here?

Ok first off, this is the lowest fishiest limit of poker ever, so your aim is to get it in as quick as possible DO NOT worry about pot control.

Raise more preflop upto $0.20 or more, and when MP bets, RAISE, if the pots big enough you can raise all in.

Dont worry about pot control with AA, just get them in at this level.

Raise the flop to something like 0.5$ and call a shove. If they call just push turn. Poker is easy

20c? I've never played these limits but that's like 10BB, but maybe thats the way things work at 2NL. I thought the raise PF was pretty decent.

Flop, YOU HAVE TO RAISE, you don't want to keep the pot small here, you want to build it up. Raise it up to 0.4-0.5 after MP bets. If he folds so be it, but you really don't want to keep the pot small.

Raise more on the turn, as played, bump it up to 0.6-0.7.

You want to push river after his raise as well. Although since he's been betting very small and suddenly came out with a big bet kind of makes this harder. You wouldnt be in that situation if you raised it up more on previous streets though.

Yeah, the problem with 2nl is that people will call with any hand. So your aim is to just get your money in asap when your good because nobody considers fold equity, aka it doesnt exsist. They will most likley call you with anything. So for this limit:

Sit and wait for good hand
Bet bet bet
Go all in
and Win

:-)

Thx for replies very informative in such a short space of time, you've convinced me to stick with NLH for a while How do you think my $120 BR will hack the variance? I can grind it back up (slowly) at other games If I have to.
