Default Burning dual layer dvds?

My friend got his wedding dvd on a dual layer dvd. I googletarded that you need a dual layer burner to do this or some dvd burners can be upgraded. Does anyone have any suggestions on a solution?

You either need a dual layer burner+media, or get a program to shrink the video down to fit on a single layer dvd (you lose quality obviously).

Get DVD Decrypter. You can do dual layer copies of DVD's. No loss. Only way to go
