I like the play.
You are playing higher stakes and people will be more likely to fold a better hand.
If it was for chump change it would be a total spew.

i think a lot of people that post in this forum dont play very high.

given that ive played a lot of shorthanded 30 60+ online and the aggression is something way higher then people that play lower can understand.

there is a good chance sb simply has a raggedy A2 because people think A2 is the nuts. bb is a little scary. I wouldnt make this move, but thinking about it i like it. You are repping AK, K9, 99 and its hard to call with worse (a king wont fold though) if called you can shut down and maybe even showdown, which i dont think would be taht bad of a thing. showing that you have the ability to three bet in this spot is something that will really keep them guessing at all times.

i still think its spew though, but metagame might make it a decent move

Hmm, okay I guess I should explain myself.... Game is playing really fast, SB continuation bets close to 100% in this spot, its a good spot for BB to make a play given the flop texture, and I might have 4 or more emergency outs. Im basically risking three bets here that both dont have a king or 9s full. Is this totally ridiculous?

Thought process makes sense, but you get called down here much lighter than a K or 9's full in agro 3-handed game. AAxx, QQJx, JJQ, QJT, QJ w flushdraw (if one is possible here) could all call you down.

BB is getting 15 to 1 here to call, then he's getting 9 to 1 on the turn if you bet, then 11 to 11 to 1 on river. Each increment makes it easy for him to think "strassa opens ~40% of his hands or whatever and can be making a move here more than 10% of the time"

The aggression you speak of makes this even less likely that they will fold.

Also, playing "higher" doesn't make your strategy any better than the next guy's.

Omaha Hi/Lo Simulation Propokertools
479,807 trials (Randomized)
board: KsKh9d
Hand Pot equity Scoops Wins Hi Ties Hi Wins Lo Ties Lo
QhJd4s2c 20.37% 92,038 92,038 11,525 0 0
**** 39.75% 186,162 186,162 9,235 0 0
**** 39.87% 186,685 186,685 9,343 0 0

You're way behind two random hands, and the BB is probably not raising with air.

the game is so much different its unbelievable.

do you think people posting 200 400 limit hold em hands really appreciate the advice of someone who has never played higher then 2 4 lhe. its pretty much a completely different game. that is the only point i was trying to make.

Now I see why gregery is who he is...I would say that you are not getting the hands he mentioned to fold, especially if the game has been playing fast and furious...My only question would be, is the BB capable of making this move with ANY pair and will he laydown eventually or is he gonna call you down to the end thinking that you are full of crap?

I think in this situation this is spew...

People playing online o8b don't fold, period. I think, in the long run, this is a -EV play by far. I understand the thought process behind the move, and maybe in a live game this kind of play would work, but online I think this is a big - EV move.

Hey, good to see you posting on here.
