Re: KT Tunstall
Im pretty sure el D falls for this look, judging by the waitress he thought was punk-hot or something at the restaurant. That being said, whats not to like about KT?

I've listened to that album at least twice a day for about two weeks now. Good call. --Nate |

Re: KT Tunstall
J,
She is attractive, but nothing I'd consider incredible. Except for the fact that she's a singer and she rocks and has a sexy raspy voice. That all combines to make her super hot. |

Re: KT Tunstall
Wow!!! I'm an old guy with no knowledge of pop music so I had never heard of her. She's just great in both sexiness and music. Check out her cover of "Tangled up in Blue". I'm very picky when it comes to Dylan covers, but this is a good one. Thanks a lot for the heads up.

Re: KT Tunstall
yeah, I think she's pretty great...can one of you musicians explain all those foot switches she's messing with? Obviously she's making a noise, setting it to repeat, and doing it again and again...but is this common? I don't think I've ever seen it before. Very cool.

I don't think I've ever seen it before. Very cool. [/ QUOTE ] This is exactly what she is doing. The pedals are linked to sampler/computer, each piece of the composition is being sampled when she clicks on a pedal and off, to a individual track. Each track is set to auto-time signature loop pre-programmed by her. From there she can probably use effects pedals and processors on each or the whole of the composition depending on her setup. This type of manipulation is becoming more common with traditonal live performers. It was more commonly seen previously in electronic/dance music, live pa/djing, dub/ragga, noise art, and beat boxing. |
