It's pretty obvious to me and other posters that HeavilyArmed is banned poster FlFishOn.
Do we just let him go on posting as long as he doesn't get out of hand?

Also, Sharkey has returned as Skidoo.

Wow, I remember Sharkey when I used to SMP some. He was a complete tool back then. Still that way?

They're both regulars in my forum. I don't have an opinion on what accounts they used to have, but I'm not inclined to ban them for their current posting behavior. Skidoo in particuar has been irritating the anarchocapitalists, but I don't see a problem with his posting.

Yeah, they both can be annoying (and FlFishOn/HeavilyArmed is a racist jerk) but I don't think they crossed the line yet. I'm don't know why their old SNs were banned either.
I just wanted to know if we did anything when banned posters come back.

Link? Racism is one thing we don't screw around with. A quick search of my forum reveals he's against Affirmative action and in favor of racial profiling, but its less offensive than what you'll hear on Rush.

Well, to be fair, he's not as incendiary as the others. He just keeps going on about the genetics of race (and loves the intelligence and race story), etc. using terrible data that he misinterprets.

The FlFishOn thread is definately racism. Implying that black people are inferior is clear racism. If I stumbled across that, I would tempban first offence, permaban 2nd. On the other hand, I don't think the HeavilyArmed thread is racism. He is mostly criticizing social scientists and liberals in that thread. The closest he comes is when he says: "it's getting harder to assert that every cohort has equal potential in every area." but I would probably overlook that because it's true in a micro sense.

Does someone want to chime in on the original issue: what do do about posters who we suspect were previously banned? We went through this recently with Dan Bright's latest incarnation when Mat permabanned him, but I think that was a special case.
