Default Battlestar Galactica or Lost

I need to pick up another series.

I keep hearing that BG is a terrific show and Lost seems like a must watch.

Any recommendations on which one to watch first?

Pretty sure being a Battlestar Galactica fan is seriously detrimental to your chances of ever getting laid.

In all seriousness though, Lost fking rules, rent season 1 and 2 DVDs and watch them.

Yea, well, I'm married, with children, so my chances aren't much related to the TV I watch anymore.

Lost is good, I really like it. BG is better.

I'm married with a new baby so I'm not too concerned with impressing ladies either.

For BG, do you need to watch the mini-series before season 1?

No. I haven't seen it and it didn't matter much. I picked up mid-season 1 and was lost a little bit, but caught on.

You definitely don't want to just start in on season 2 though without most of season 1 underway. There's so much long term plot and character development.

But would you recommend watching the miniseries first?
