Default Re: Best beginner\'s book for Limit?

I haven't read the Byron Jacobs book, but given the quality of his other stuff, I'm sure it's very good. When I was helping my friend learn the game, I had him read Getting Started in Hold'em, followed by Sklansky's Hold'em Poker. After that, I told him to re-read Miller's book and follow his advice whenever it conflicted with Sklansky's.

That should be a nice foundation for the more advanced material. You might have her read Winning Low-Limit Hold'em and/or Internet Texas Hold'em as well.
