Bah, what do you like better about TPF? Most FOFCers consider it to be inferior. I tried the demo and didn't like it but I firmly admit to my FOF-bias since I've been playing it for 7 years now and it would be hard to switch.

Only the interface, really. I'm the opposite of you. I played the crap out of TPF (and liked it, except they never really put out huge updates, which pissed off a lot of people), but I only demo'd FOF. Maybe I'd like it if I played more.

You should try it. The interface isn't the greatest, but my understanding is that the engine and roster management are sounder. Also, does Total Pro Football have many online leagues? There are scads of 2k4 FOF leagues that will be converting to 2k7 when the 2k4->2k7 league converter comes out in the near future.

Wow, I'd been hoping for an update -- they said there was going to be a new release in 2006, but then there was total silence from Solecismic for so long, I figured it wasn't gonna happen. Looks good, can't wait to play it.

That said, I was kinda hoping that they'd update TCY, instead.

Are you in any 2k4 leagues? I'm 3-0 in my 2k4 league right now(HFL - Detroit Lions). Check out these ridic. offensive numbers:

Code:

Detroit Lions Team Rank
Rushes 92 14
Rushing Yards 489 1
Yards Per Carry 5.31 1
Pass Attempts 110 5
Completions 70 1
Passing Yards 1013 1
Yards Per Attempt 9.20 1
3rd Down Conversions 63.3 1
Points Per Game 37.0 1
Turnovers 4 10 (T)
Turnover Margin +2 6 (T)

Of course, those aren't sustainable, but they're pretty.

I def. think TCY needed more of an update than the pro version, but I suck at TCY(just can't stand recruiting) so I'm glad the pro version got the update. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I was in a few MP leagues, but I kept adding them on until it was taking way too long to keep up with my teams, and then I sort of lost interest and had to quit. I'll probably go back some day.

Nice stats -- they look more like single player numbers from 2017.

Yeah, I'm in only two leagues and it still takes up quite a bit of time because I'm obsessive, but I think others get away with putting in less time.

Of course, I am the favorite to win the championship in both leagues this season, so I guess it pays off a bit. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

How's the single player engine? If I'm going to play this game, I'd like to get a good handle on it with some computer opponents first.

Very good. It takes a long time to master and their are a lot of intricacies.

TPF online leagues, as I understand it, are like seeing Bigfoot. I could have heard wrong, though.

Just downloaded the game, and I'm starting to enjoy the demo version, though there's a ton of stuff I still need to wade through. Any reason I shouldn't get this game?
