Default Poker in Washington State/Northwest?

I am planning on travelling to Washington, Oregon, and Idaho....

Does anyone know of any pokerrooms in that area? If so, would you mind sharing your reviews of them? Thanks!

But my connection is usually slow and I don't know how to search for this specific topic...Would you guys care to inform a fellow poker player? ...And yes, Washington state would be great, since that is where I'll be visiting.

The only one I've seen online is info for something in a place called Taulilop or something like that. Anyone else recommend any other casinos in Washington?

If you can provide a few more details, I'm sure that several of us can weigh in with comments. NL? Limit? Stakes? South or North Washington? Portland? etc.

With a little bit more detail about where and what you are looking to play, you'll likely get better info..

I'm mostly a NLHE player, who is comfortable playing/winning up to the $5-10 NL level. I am going to be travelling all across Washington state next March (yes, a long time from now, but would still love to get the low down on things early).

I plan to spend 7 days driving across Washington, so am hoping to play at a preferably "nice" Casino (not some ghetto place with Shady people hopefully...). I would just like to have a good 2-3 nights of poker fun at a nice, clean Casino.

Would appreciate any recs.

Not sure what you mean by driving "across" Washington, but if you mean North-South on I-5, then you will go right by 2 decent sized poker rooms in non-shady casinos. Muckelshoot is south of Seattle, and Tulalip is north. Tulalip is probably your best bet. Lowest NL game that regularly goes is $3/$5 blinds and $100-$300 buy-ins. They also have $5/$10 and $10/$20 games that play a bit deeeper (in terms of BB's). Not technically a NL game, since the max bet is $500, but there is no max number of bets/raises per round, and the $500 limit really does not come into play much, at least at the $3/$5 game.

There are a ton of small card rooms up and down I-5 (probably 50+ within 5 miles of the interstate). The max bet at these places is $40, so they have mostly limit games, although some places offer $2-$40 spread limit games. These places do not really qualify as "nice" casinos, however.

Agree with Wongboy (to an extent). Your best bet for No Limit is in the Indian Casinos. Tualip and Muckleshoot are really good bets. The are a plethora of card rooms in Wahington, but the rules are that there is a maximum $40 bet - so no NL. Spread limit yes. If you get far enough south - La Center, Phoenix has a $4 - 40 spread limit game that is still soft but getting tougher. There's nothing shady or any danger in going to Phoenix or New Frontier. If you get into Oregon you may want to go our to Grande Ronde to Spirit Mountain Casino for some no limit. Friday there is also a low-limit Omaha game. Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers.

Little Creek (near Shelton) has a 5-5 (max buyin $300?, maybe it has changed) game and I believe the max bet is capped at $500.

I didn't mean to imply that the non-tribal card rooms were shady or dangerous in any way. I spend a ton of time in them and never feel like I am in any danger. They are just small and do not have the big casino feel. Typically you are talking about 2-5 poker tables and 5-20 non-poker tables. I interpreted the OP to mean that he was looking for more of a Vegas style casino.
