Default Going to Seattle 8/25-8/30

Hey all, going to Seatown for a work conference. Won't have a car. Any way to get to the Muck without one? I took the bus last time to the north side, and would love an update on any tourneys/games those casinos will have going.

taxi it to Diamond Lil's (Renton) for limit good limit games or to The Hollywood (Shoreline) for 2-40 spread. Goldies (shoreline) is another good bet for low-limit.

For NL you'll need to hit the Muck or Tulalip, but good luck getting there.

I know you can bus to Tulalip 'cause I saw a bustop when we were there on Sunday, but I can't imagine it's terribly helpful time wise. Bussing in the north end is ass.

You can probably get to any of the litany of casinos on 99 via bus pretty easily.

Rent a car and drive to Muckleshoot anyway.

Renting a car to go to the Muck seems a bit counterproductive. Can't imagine I'm getting a car much cheaper than $20 + gas. If I'm going down to play a $65 tourney and 4/8, have to do pretty damn good to overcome that added rake.

Any thoughts on Parker's v Goldie's v Hollywood v Drift On Inn? Any updated tourney schedules for them?

Parkers is a tough venue, primarily focussing on games above 4/8 (think: 12/24 - 20/40). If $20 for a car is make-or-break to you, that room's going to eat you alive. Same with Lil's. As to Goldie's and the rest of the Hwy 99 rooms -- well, I've played them periodically, and the Muck is simply head-and-shoulders above them in terms of game quality and game selection.

Seriously, $20 is like half a small pot at 4/8. Why play in a bad game all night just to save that trivial an amount?

I have only played a couple of times, but my visits to Parker's have been lucrative. I don't think it is any tougher than any other room, and is probably easier than some.

I guess it's not the $20 as much as it's that I hate paying for things like that. Also, I have to be able to return the car and get back to my hotel at night, or pay an additional day plus the $40 to park the damn thing at my hotel. If I could get door to door for the $20, I'd do it.

Unless something has radically changed since I was last there, the Parkers 4/8 is a fantastic game.
