The poker boom is over. The market is shrinking. WPT Ent. know this and are simply maximizing their profits while they can. Their actions are not limiting the expansion of poker because they know the market is not expanding and will never go mainstream - to major non internet advertisers, poker is gambling plain and simple. Targeted demographic markets are accessed and segmented much more effectively through many other "non stigmatized" industries and programming.

Was my favorite line. It's too bad that Andy Bloch or FTP doesn't realize the value of this thing. Have you seen Cardplayer's Video crap? The streaming is horrible. The commentators are two below average looking interns who don't add anything to the broadcast. It's like Cardplayer wants to throw out the cheapest schtick and expect us to watch it. At least Pokerwire radio tried to do something fun and be a little creative without being uptight. Pokernews is a bit better with Tiffany Michele. However, hearing about the prop bets, the high stakes FT action and how Barry berates Joe about his play was much more interesting. Erik Seidel reading the news...genius! Maybe Eugene Todd Bro should get his own show! It may be the only way he could make money at this poker thang...
