Re: $55 - AQ - BB - 14 big blinds - facing raise
not much fe against someone who's committed almost 1/3 of his stack. AQ has to be near the bottom of his range if not way behind. i'd fold.

Re: $55 - AQ - BB - 14 big blinds - facing raise
My Question is if this guy is a type of player a or b
a) wow, i have the nuts...ALL IN b) i have a weak hand, lets bet big, so nobody calls Most of the time its b). I just can`t believe that Villain would make this raise with QQ+. You have everything else crushed or you`re flipping. The only hand I´m honestly worried about is AK. And don`t be surprised if some guys fold. Its not rare. But i don`t think its a trivial fold. Out of feeling I`d push here, although you can prolly gett the right answer by putting some ranges in pokerstove. |

Re: $55 - AQ - BB - 14 big blinds - facing raise
if OP doesn't have a read on villain at this point it's probly b/c villain has not been very active. i might add ATs+ to his range, but that means you only dominate two of his possible hands and are flipping or dominated by the rest. i've also seen good players routinely make larger than normal raises to disguise big pairs. i would only push this if i were fairly certain villain was a loose/weak player.

This 4bb raise makes me want to fold since I think you're often flipping, dominated by AK, or chopping; in addition to relatively no FE.

GKA,
Yeah something like that. I dunno I could be talked into folding but people who raise less then all-in put themselves in such bad positions. He would have to be playing really close to the vest to make this is a fold. Consider that you pick up t550 if he folds so even if he doesn't call some small % of the time you are correct to move in. There are some people that will say that he wouldn't raise so much with AA-QQ but I don't really buy that. I just need to know that he isn't raising very often to fold. Depending on what he calls with that number could be anything from the top ~ 8-15%. |
