Re: Too much action for KK...what you do?
At a 6.50 I think you have to call. MP3 and CO could easily have A8, K8, 99, TT, JJ, QQ, or a draw, along with a set. i think you're ahead enough here to call.

Hero bets 400 on the flop, instacalls the ai.

Re: Too much action for KK...what you do?
Yeah the flop bet is definitely too weak, 400 is the lowest I would be going. The AI is a snap call at this level I think

I call here but I don't like it. I would bet 3/4 of pot and call raise or cr all in

Re: Too much action for KK...what you do?
Raise more before the flop.
With KK you'd like to get it all in asap. Your commitment plan is: If an A doesn't come on the flop your Committed (with an Over-pair). But this plan is good for HU and not 5 players seeing the flop. I guess that when 5 solid players see the flop even a good overpair is not good enough (here you lose to trips, random 2 pair, straight) The way it was played you are a big underdog to 67, 44, 55 and 88 all reasonable holding for a player getting good pot odds to call before flop. I guess the buy-in and reads will affect my actions here. But against solid players I Guess I don't c-bet this flop, and just fold if big action comes. If no action comes I rethink after seeing the turn. The small raise made this hand hard to play, the mistake IMO was pre-flop. |

Re: Too much action for KK...what you do?
I think the pre flop bet was standard. It just so happen that players behind me folded. KK hand is good; you would like action but not this much especially preflop. I agree though that my flop bet was horrendous. I was thinking "im up against 4 players on the flop with KK", this is far from ideal. But then again, I should have bet 2/3 or 3/4 pot to know exactly where I stand.

He made a standard bet and got too much action, that happens. At a 6.5 I think you should be calling this all in, there are all kinds of hands that they could have. I realize that you're behind a good chunk of the time, but not often enough to warrant a fold. Also I agree with the other replies that you should have bet a bit more post flop. Whahoo, 400th post. |
