Default PokerTracker vpip calculation strangeness

I've written my own hand importer for Full Tilt Poker hand histories so I can do some study of my own play with stats that PT doesn't support (3bet %, etc). I noticed the vpip value I was calculating was sometimes slightly different from PT's vpip.

Tracking it down it looks like PT includes hands the player has sat out in the calculation. For example, this hand history:

Seat 1: player1 ($18.50)
Seat 2: player2 ($123.70)
Seat 3: player3 ($101.85)
Seat 4: player4 ($101.80)
Seat 5: player5 ($39)
Seat 6: player6 ($131.70)
Seat 7: player7 ($0), is sitting out
Seat 8: player8 ($40.40)
Seat 9: player9 ($120.40)
player8 posts the small blind of $0.50
player9 posts the big blind of $1
The button is in seat #7
*** HOLE CARDS ***
player7 stands up
player1 folds
player2 folds
...etc...

Notice that player7 is sitting out and stands up preflop. They never participated in the hand and weren't dealt cards. In PT their vpip is 14 out of 65. The 65'th hand is this one which they didn't participate in. It should be 14 out of 64.

Can anyone else confirm if they see this too? I can provide a hand history if interested.
