Him and Sammy are both pretty terrible on HSP (especially Sammy).

How exactly did he buy his bracelet?

[/ QUOTE ]
Scotty Nguyen was a big CL HU and pretty clearly dumped to him after a break and an "undisclosed deal." Combine that with the fact that Elezra had a bracelet prop bet with Barry G. and see if you can figure it out.

[/ QUOTE ]

damn, never knew that. Did Barry ever say anything about this?

[/ QUOTE ]

You never knew that because it wasn't entirely true. Barry and Eli settled the prop bet before heads up started.

When the third place finisher was eliminated Scotty and Eli left to cut a deal...Eli called Barry and they settled their bet and then Eli and Scotty played it out (whether or not they did this legitimately or Scotty dumped to eli is debatable of course.)

If I remember correctly, Elezra had the chip lead the whole time heads up. Scotty did draw close to even a few times, but Elezra quickly regained the lead each time in a big pot.

you have to realize that unless barry, daniel, todd, or one of the other big game players who occasionally post here it is PURE conjecture on how he plays in the big game and what he really plays like especially in a mixed game format.

that being said, since the op wants what we think, here is my two cents:

nl hold'em in full ring seems like the worst game for his style. too loose, too much calling, not so good.

i bet he can terrorize short handed mixed games on occasion, but you never ever ever wouldn't want him in your game on any level. i think calling him a catalyst would be very accurate, for both starting and making games go. when he picks up a good distribution of cards and is making alot of hands in a session i would guess he would win the absolute maximum compared to the rest of the line up. i am not sure how he is about controlling his down swings, but this would seem to be his only chance at not being a big donator.

i think eli would, with his style, probably makes many of his opponents play less than their A game by being a bit of a wild card and making some crazy floats and peeling calls and being generally difficult to put on hands especially in a limit/split pot/draw game format. i could see him being dangerous but maybe even more fishy at times in plo.
i have heard/read that limit omaha hi is his best game. seems to make sense to me.

i think he is fun to watch on tv. seems like enjoyable and that he gets along well with everyone and has a nice rivalry with sammy that is amusing.

i would love to hear how accurate these thoughts are w/o having anyone's toes stepped on. big game players care to comment??? cheers. J.

[ ] thoughtful and accurate comments from posters

eli seems to be a better then average player with no fear b/c he's rich and makes a pure killing off prop bets (he said in PAD that David B still owes him almost 4 mil in prop bets remember)

Isn't Guy Liberte the guy who started Cirque du Soleil?? If so, HE'S by far the richest guy playing in the big game.

[ QUOTE ]
he has plenty of money, prob the richest of the guys appering until now at HSP.

read in a magazine that Antonius said he was the biggest fish of the regulars in the Big game at bellagio (except maybe for guy liberte) if I remember correctly.
