I don't understand how someone can be so dedicated and put in so many hours to a card game and yet care so little about their personal health. It's even more saddening because his success means he has the means to eat healthy, get a personal trainer, etc.

I mean it's great that he's doing so well but what will it matter when he has diabetes, sleep apnea, heart disease and needs his knees replaced? The psychological implications of being morbidly obese can't be ignored either.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why do you choose some person you've never heard of who is happy about an accomplishment to come down on like this? Why can't you do it so someone random you meet on the street instead? Do you think I don't [censored] know I'm a fatass? You're not exactly breaking ground here (BUT I AM HURRRR).

[/ QUOTE ]

Not exactly random people, but I do on a daily basis.

I took you for an intelligent person. As such I'd think you would take your health more seriously. You apparenly don't though so the obvious was stated. If you don't start taking better care of yourself it's not a matter of if but when you'll start seeing complications of being so obese.

If you think someone telling you to take responsibility for your health is coming down on you then you have other issues. You're not a victim of other people poking fun at you (as cruel as it may be). You're a victim of your own poor choices.

If you don't like the attention you receive then perhaps you should be a little more humble and not start threads for the sake of getting it.

This is in no way meant to be an insult im seriously trying to help.

Seeing as you are looking to be a career poker player you arent going to be having a health insurance plan from your work so your going to be having to get it independently. I think this is difficult/very expensive if you are over weight. If your a student i assume you will be covered till you finish college so in that time you might want to seriously consider options for losing weight for nothing other than the long term money EV of having cheaper insurance.

From wikipedia: "Recent studies have indicated that as much as 64% of the adult US population is overweight, and this number is increasing"ing

I'm always suprised with all the mocking against gobbo in threads about him with this fact in mind, you´re almost all fat, not that there is something wrong with that.

F the haters Gobbo, congrats

[/ QUOTE ]

while most of us are fat/overweight, we're not exactly approaching 400 pounds either.

im sure most of the people berating gobbo either smoke or drink, which just seems hypocritical that while each of those kills you, the only one of these that gets demonized is weight

???

smoking and drinking both get demonized as well as fatness, however the difference between fatness and those 2 are that you're fat all the time (unless you go on a diet/exercise).

also, no one said smoking/drinking is cool.

i hate ppl that smoke, and it should be banned forever..

drinking is fine though because it loosens people's inhibitions and is always a cause of a good time!

Jimmy's weight issue is a result of my having gestational diabetes while carrying him. Studies are proving that fetuses who are exposed to diabetic conditions in utero often develop adverse weight problems in later life. The blame rests on ME and my family 's genetics. For everyone who thinks it's "helpful" to point out another person's shortcomings, I hope your perfection sustains you happily in your lives.
