Default Re: common situation: midpair check/bet turn?

Tho this may seem like the most standard check-behind in the world, I think about it and it's a bit interesting. Vs a good, thinking player, It might be best to double barrel the turn for $60, folding out 8x almost 100% of the time and any QT and under IMO. However, the only problem is, this is such a dry board he could have just c/c flop with a set and is goin for c/r turn. This 5 doesn't likely make any two pairs, but it could for sure give someone a pair+FD (with like 9Thh), where they're at least calling another street, if not repping stronger and c/r the turn if OP bets. I'd say if the person's really tight they can only have a set here. If they're a bit looser you might try a 2nd barell to fold a decent number of hands, but the only problem is, for the most part, the 5 is a blank, and so a lot of people may think Tx is still good. It would be good to double barrelling marginal hands for metagame, especialy if ur hand just goes to showdown once cuz the u'll get PAIID for a while on ur big hands.
