South Florida Casino Request
I'm planning a visit to a friend who lives in Boynton Beach, Fl, which is between W Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. Anybody know a good Casino with soft NLHoldem games nearby? He mentioned the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino was close.

Re: South Florida Casino Request
If you go to the Hard Rock Seminole near the FLL Airport, and discover a two hour wait for a table, go next door to the Seminole Bingo Parlor, where the games are probably just as soft, but the wait is much less for a table.
Yesterday at a 1/2 NLHE table, I did notice two regulars who were clearly soft-playing each other, and doing some third-party squeeze plays with weak hands. Fortunately, they were able to table change me in a matter of moments. There was no accusation I could have made, so I just got the hell out. |

If you ever find yourself in this situation again ask to see a few hands that you think were played suspiciously. Contrary to what may people think, the rule is in place specifically to give players a recourse in exactly this situation. |

Re: South Florida Casino Request
The Isle in Pompano is just a few minutes more(than the coconut creek) away from Boyton and a nicer room. I understand the Kennel club in West Palm is a good card room if you want to go north. No long wait for tables at the Isle if you get there by 530 (except Sat.) CC is 24 hour, Isle closes at midnight. Another 15 mintues south to the Hard Rock which has long waits but nice resteraunts and such to eat while you wait, also very soft players and 24 hours. The Isle is the nicest room in South Fl though likely.

Austiger...
I live in Delray and work in Boynton..... IMHO.. It depends what game you are looking for and what day and time you prefer to play.... I agree with the above poster that the ISLE is hands down the nicest room in the area, and only about 30 mins south of Boynton.... The Palm Beach Kennel Club (20 mins north) is now well equipped for both tournament play (20 Tables upstairs) and cash games downstairs....staff and dealers are very good.. The rake at both venues for the cash games is the same I believe.... There is definately a difference in players depending on day of week and time of day... As far as the Seminole Coconut Creek... I walked in, and walked out...Not sure how the action was, but the room appeared to be small, dirty and crowded...wasn't for me... As far as the Hard Rock.... If you want to go party and play some cards then maybe it's ok.... The plus side is that it is open 24/7, but it is a solid hour door to door from Boynton (including traffic and parking) and IMHO is not worth the trip.... PM me if you need more info... Bossman |

Kennel Club in PB. Way more comfortable than anything in Broward, and horrendous play. Good tuna salad too.
