Default SSNL [cheese] thread: AUG (nc)

Have at it.

What is the cheese thread? Here is where you post how awesome you are, or how much you suck. Or how some 2p2'er is a huge fish or is tapping the glass, or any other inane crap like graphs and stats that will clutter this thread, but not the forum as a whole. You can also post hands where you pwn or get pwned, or where something weird happens, etc. etc. etc. blah blah blah.

Why cheese? Each of the NL forums have a monthly thread similar to this one. A few of us used to discuss cheese in some of the crappy threads started in SSNL to let the OP know that he started a crappy thread and we'd rather discuss something stupid than the topic they started. And so ours is called the cheese thread.

I'll start by saying: Someone please talk me out of chasing the sizzling summer bonus on Party. I'm getting the urge to at least get started on it. It's a crap bonus on a site I don't think I want to give money toooooooooo. Someone help me.

Dude, even if you play all 30 days it's $300 = $10/day. Miss just a few days and it's $150 for about $5/day. The monster rake each day is way way more than that. Party better give us a real VIP bonus soon.

Interesting hand:

I'm playing $2/$4 limit badugi, live, full ring (nine-handed) with a table full of donks. I'm dealt QJ94 rainbow (natural badugi, but Q-high). Five people pay for four bets each for the first draw.

Two draw two cards, two draw one, and I stand pat. I lead out betting, one of the two-card draws raises, I reraise, three call. The two-draw stands pat, the other draws a card, I stand pat.

The other pat hand bets again, in-between folds. What's my plan?

Note: if you say "draw," consider that I'd have to draw at least two cards, and probably THREE, because otherwise I'm drawing to a nine- or queen-high badugi. If I stand pat again, I'm only beating a bluff (which villain is capable of doing -- he's a tremendous donkey).

Note also that the pot is large.

Just in case y'all were thinking I'm getting too weak-tight :

No Limit Hold'em Ring Game (6 max) , 6 players
Blinds : $1/$2

Stacks:
UTG : $316.37
Hero : $200
CO : $176.75
Button : $155.55
SB : $242.23
BB : $251.19

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is MP with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG limps, Hero raises to $9, 2 folds, SB calls, BB folds, UTG folds.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($22, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $17, SB calls.

Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($56, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $42, SB raises to $84, Hero calls ($42).

River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($224, 2 players)
SB bets $132.23 (all-in), Hero calls all-in ($90).

Results: (final pot $446.23)
Hero wins $400.50 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (Two Pair)
SB wins $42.23 with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (Two Pair)

p.s. Pokey, the chance of someone who drew two getting a Badugi better than QJ is like 1/(17 choose 3), but you also have to factor in your suit matrix. I think the correct play is to check-raise the last stage.
pps. I can't believe you know how to play Badugi, I have no idea what I'm talking about.
