XP only supports a maximum of 4 GB of RAM. Vista 64 bit supports up to 128 GB of RAM. Not really necessary now (though some Photoshop users run into problems), but will be useful in the future.

Sorry, didn't check back on this thread.
But yes, I use 4gigs now and will add more before the end of the year I figure, but I'm a software developer. Anything less than 4 I'd really just stick to XP for now.
