Lol, like you're ever checking behind on that turn with a strong made hand. This is terrible.

thats kinda where i stand on the matter too.

and like, even if you do check behind the nut flush on the turn here ever, nobody will think thats the case. And what people THINK you will and will not do is what really matters, until you show it down.

So show up here with the nut flush next time, surprise him, valuetown him, and THEN consider making a move like this once the seed of doubt is in his mind.

Exactly what I was going to say, nh dj.

I like the play. How does UTG show up with a flush or straight here? He may show up with a set that checked in nit-fear on the turn but he isn't calling a big raise 3-way on this river without straight, set or flush IMO. I do agree that the difference between 600/750 is a lot but I am not sure if 750 is necessary. 700 probably gets the same effect here.

i was bluffing, but sometimes i guess he can call with two queens, sometimes i push him off the best hand, sometimes he folds a split, etc.

FWIW, I frequently check behind the nut flush here-

Just so you can bluff big into small pots, like you did here?

He can only have this situation this one time against you. Thus, you'll only push him off the best hand 100% of the time in this spot in your lifetime.

is it me or is the turn check bad?

if u are trying to fold out AA/AK with the river raise, then this is bad because you dont have: two pair, set, straight, or flush almost ever. so if he did fold AA/AK, then bad fold by him imo.
