I recently went 5 days with nothing but water and painkillers (kept puking them up) and that was like 120 hours. Passing kidney stones will take your mind off the food...

you won't die after 15 days. Just google some stories about people who went into hunger strike (I hope I say it right), like the guys at Guantanamo Bay. You can 'live' a long time without food.

Has anyone ever heard of a guy called GHANDI? Apparently he like, did that, for a while, and lived, and stuff. Crazy I know. Not to mention the countless number of monks etc.

If you are serious about giving me 72 hours I will bet you 1:1 odds $100. Unfortunately you'd have to go on my trust alone so meh, probably wouldn't work.

I am considering juice fasting and will be picking up a book on this tomorrow to see, but as it stands I am somewhat against it.

FWIW I am completely drug free as it is, I've never smoked anything ever, I consume any type of medicine probably twice a year, if that, and I consume alcohol less than once a month.

It's not really anything to do with losing weight, though that will be nice, and technically it's the easiest way to do it(do nothing!) or anything spiritual or to save a religion, it's because I like experimenting with my body.

I think the first three days of this will be significantly more difficult than the first three days of polyphasic sleeping.

Actually it's not the easiest way to lose weight. If you don't eat, you'll body will go into "powersave" mode after couple of days.

You'd lose weight faster eating enough so your body would use normal amounts of energy.

I did a similar experiment earlier this year. The difference was that instead of drinkin water, I drank juices to get vitamins etc. Drinking only water is really bad for your body.

I didn't eat for five days (120+ hours). On 4th and 5th day I was really cold as my body saved energy and didn't produce heath.

Lost less than 2 kgs during that time.
