Re: Diana, ten years later. Why do people care?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] blarg, do you hate diana? [/ QUOTE ] No, just despise the cult-like adoration toward her. I love Grace Kelly as an actress and she's worth any man's undying lust, but I despise the very similar worship for her when she became a princess too. You have people saying things like these women were the most important women in a thousand years, deserve sainthood, etc. All kinds of crazy crap. The poster who said any old jack or jill in the peace corps, and by extension so many other people doing good things in the world, contributed infinitely more towards others than these princesses. The adoration of royalty, even here in America where one would think we would know better, gives me the creeps big time and makes it clear why we'll always be looking for someone to be king. [/ QUOTE ] fwiw i hate diana |

[ QUOTE ] Diana was both a princess and an angel. That's rare. [/ QUOTE ] An angel? Please tell me why. Seriously. [/ QUOTE ] Have you ever really looked at her eyes? Try. |

Re: Diana, ten years later. Why do people care?
[ QUOTE ]
British scale: 9 American scale: 5 OOT scale: 2 [/ QUOTE ] I was just looking at the People Magazine tribute to her. She's not as attractive as I remembered. Her nose was fairly big and he hair looked terrible until she shortened it. That said, she was still fairly attractive and dressed very well (being forced to dressed relatively conservatively because of her title and having basically limitless clothing funds can do that for a woman). Even by OOT standards, she's at least a 6. In real world standards, somewhere between a 7 and an 8. |
