Stacks? Yeah I think you can profitably try to steal here if the effective stacks are not too shallow.

Not a huge fan of having 3 opponents that you have to force out, but otherwise it seems like a standard bluff opportunity.

I would raise the turn. This achieves 3 things: (1) if you hit on the river you have a potential big pot. (2) if you hit a low non-heart on river and fear being quartered, it probably will be checked to you and you can check if you choose. (3) may increase your ability to steal on a blank river, as you have represented that you have some kind of hand on the turn.

No, it really doesn't. Even the laggiest player can pick up pots by bluffing the right spots. In fact, it's where much of their money comes from...

Besides, what OP is asking is the merits of bluffing in this particular spot. I think he can do better than break even by betting half pot on the river and I don't think being laggy changes things that much.

Apart from that, I'm not thrilled with a turn raise into an EP bettor. He's usually got something and is trying to get value at this point. I think you'll get reraised a decent percentage of the time and called down on most rivers that don't make things scary.

In this case, the straight making it provides a great opportunity for a 1/2 pot or so.

if you don't think modern day PLO8 players are actively seeking spots to call-down light regularly then I think you are way off-base here.

that's not to say that I think taking a stab at the river is an awful play... even if OP does get picked off the play does have some advertising value for future plays.

Don't make me post the several hands from last week where I bluffed you out of rivers with a half pot.

BTW, I haven't seen much much evidence of calling down light. Maybe you play smaller river pots than I do. Or are you talking about $5/$10? I rarely play above $2/$4
