I don't own one, have no intention of buying one, but I think its great that Nintendo have had this success after the Gamecube. Its good to see creativity triumph over high performance. I mean with the price of the Wii and its games compared to that of the 360 and the PS3 its easy to see why it has sold so well.

I have no plans on ever buying one, but competition in the console market is good for everyone. The Wii and the 360/PS3 cater to a different audience, and hopefully as the 360/ps3 drop in price, the casual gamers that Nintendo brought over will start buying one of those consoles.

nexgenwars.com has the 360 at 11.1m and the Wii at 10.1m.

I play the Wii more, but we'll see if that holds true after I work my way through Zelda, Paper Mario and Mario Galaxy...

Right now for the 360 I only am looking forward to replaying and beating Castlevania SOTN...

and Ninja Gaiden on the Ps3

The Wii offerings right now I actually think are relatively week, but in 6 months it will have a very high quality crop of games.

I'm glad that Nintendo has recovered from the last generation and I hope they'll surprise me pleasantly like they did with the DS, but at this point I see nothing interestingly innovative or compelling about the Wii and have no interest in getting one whatsoever.

I think graphics are super important in games and so to me the Wii just misses one of the central points of "next-gen."

Nintendo also needs some new franchises, Mario is just ridiculous at this point
