Do I have enough odds to call for just a BDSD and a BDFD
(8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks. Flop: (6 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players) Hero checks, BB bets, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, Button folds, Hero ... I wasn't sure about the math but I think it was a bad call. I know I'm getting 10:1 to make the call but are those odds good enough to call just for BD hands? |

very std fold. bd draws are overvalued.

1.5 for the BDFD, slightly less than 1.5 for the BDSD. Counting only a bit less than three outs, this looks like a pretty easy fold.

Breakeven odds on a 2-outer is 22:1 and most double backdoors are worth about that.

You're probably going to need closer to 16:1-18:1 to call for just backdoor draws. You do have an overcard too, just for the record, but it's still a fold.

I was hopeing someone would say, "well with implied odds..." or "you were closing out the action..." but I knew it was bad call all the way and made it anyway. I have to learn to not over estimate BD outs.

That means you have at most one street in which to make money, but you also have one street in which you'll continue to pay to chase. |
