facing super weird river lead by a donk, 1000nl.
No read on villain except that i've seen him minraise a bunch. He instachecked turn and called very quick. He thought a bit on the river before donking.

Uh yeah, this is wierd, and could very well be QQ/AA/flush. AQ, 98s, 87s are may be in preflop range, but are less likely due to the turn check/call. AK, doesn't makes much sense to me, so i wouldn't consider it.
On the other hand, i've seen a lot of stuff like KT KJ JT T9 (w/ one club) do that kind of [censored], + the rare TT/JJ/99/77-. It makes more sense as a bluff than a value bet, I call this.

Smells like a call but really what is the donkey betting 3/4 pot on the river with? With no reads here. Also he did call an almost 4x reraise PF to his mini raise.
Strange play, either a trap or a bluff. But yea the river bet smells. Could be A8 here also. You stated you saw him mini raise a lot. Review in your head how he played often. Did he bet 3/4 pot on the river with nada before this or a real hand? Also did he call a lot of reraises? Did he slowplay AA preflop ever? Did he insta call ever on just a draw?
