My concern is that by now I'm so used to having a screen pop-up when I'm 8-tabling and insta-folding in a mili-second, I wouldn't be able see that it's the bonus table in time.

[/ QUOTE ]

Apparently, you get about a minute after the bonus hand is dealt before anything happens. so you should be able to realize it in time.

[/ QUOTE ]

it's before the hand is dealt.

i got there on one of them before they had action, but the players did already have cards I thought.

So while they do say, "is about to be dealt" in their announcement it does technically appear that it has already been dealt and they are pausing play at that moment.

To that end, I think Stars would be wise to change their language from 'about to be dealt' because there are a lot of players who don't understand how Stars can somehow KNOW it's going to be dealt there before it's actually happened.
The idea that they pause the action right before "it's about to be dealt" is foreign to them and it feels like Stars somehow knows ahead of time which table they are going to give it to which comes way too close to OMGRIGGEDDDDD!!11!1!!1!!1!

Instead of 'is about to be dealt' I think it should say, "hand number 9.992 billion has JUST been dealt, and we've paused the action so you can come watch"

Would alleviate some of the Q's about how Stars can somehow know ahead of time.

Also, I kind of like watching the hands, but it's kind of a pain in the ass to open up the lobby, find that specifric table and then get there.
A hot-link within the announcement that takes you directly to the table would be way better.

Am I the only one who finds it kind of tricky to locate the jackpot table once it's dealt?
It's especially tough while I'm still playing 12 tables that I can't get out of.

final thought: the one jackpot hand I watched there were all these players that joined the wait-list.
Like 40 of them got the wait-list all of a sudden.
WTF is the point of that? It's not like they're going to let you jump into the table right then and suddenly you're a part of the jackpot.

pretty sure that was me you ran your aces into, happened right around the same time, just as I opened up a bunch of tables of HE to try to catch the 10b hand.

I agree. I was playing earlier and saw that and was like "Wtf, how the hell can they know which table it will be on?" I thought maybe the were randoming picking what table it would be on or something, even then that just seemed really odd and riggish which made zero sense. Had no clue they paused the action until reading this thread. I can only imagine what some typical internet is rigged fish just playing cuz of this promotion would think.

No, I was a few hundred hands away on both of them. They were both announced.

Wow. the first promotion went to a 2/4 stars limit table which is where i spend most of my time. I know half of the players who were at the table. The winner "Jerzey Jim" is a very solid player who I've logged over a thousand hands against.

I cannot believe that I didn't play last night. With only about 6 2/4 tables going at any one time I surely could have been at this table.

Guy who won is asking before the hand what they want to do telling them all to check it down. Then he says I'll check it down but if one of you goes all in I'm calling. Ship the pot and 1300.
