I don't know what kind of announcement they make to the table.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was at a different table and PS put up a announcement the winning hand was about to be dealt at table whatever and went over to watch. That table was on pause and in the chat box it said the hand will be dealt in a minute.

Then three tards folded preflop, one left. The rail kept encouraging everyone to push. Good times were had by all.

amusing

I saw the hsnd too.
UTG limped and started the fold-fest somehow.

I think it was the SB who foldd to the all-in push to make it 4 folds pre-flop. Might have been 5 actually. Don't feel like looking it up.

Everyone was making fun of them.

I believe that 1 or 2 of hem argued that they had alrfeady won their $200 or whatever so what was the point?
The Stars host just said that the winner of the hand would get an 'extra bonus'.
He didn't say how big that bonus was.
So I'm guessing the pre-flop folders had no idea how much bigger the prize was for the winner.

Although I'm not positive on that.
One guy seemed to be arguingt that 'of course you wouldn't fold on the $100k hand though' which seemed to imply that he felt his fold on that hand for a smaller jackpot was somehow justified.

Amazing.

Also, one of the guys claimed to have folded JTo which would have won the hand. Idiots.

That's a 12k hand window.
If I'm 12 tabling that means I'm getting 12 tries in a 1-in-12000 shot.

Or roughly a 1-in-1000 shot of hitting the milestone each time I give it a full go and am 12-tabling through it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't our chances increase since play money and tournament hands count towards the milestone, but those hands can't happen there? Anyone can estimate what % of hands are at cash games? it could be estimated by taking a sampling of 100-1000 or so random, recent hand #s.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is a really good point. nice catch.

I don't feel like looking up how many non cash-game vs. cah-game hands there are.
but this aspect would have to at least double your chances if not even better I would imagine.

lots of play-money and tourney tables boosting that hand-number count without being eligible to win.

would be amusing if someone folded 52 or 43 or something (either of which would have gone runner-runner to be the winner).

I don't know what kind of announcement they make to the table. But how can you possibly be dumb enough to fold? I really don't get it.
Only excuse is if you don't speak english. But it's my hunch that isn't the case with all the folders.

It's just freaking weird.

My concern is that by now I'm so used to having a screen pop-up when I'm 8-tabling and insta-folding in a mili-second, I wouldn't be able see that it's the bonus table in time.

Apparently, you get about a minute after the bonus hand is dealt before anything happens. so you should be able to realize it in time. Right now my strategy is to open several 0.02/0.04 limit tables right before the hand hits.
