Yes, there is the chance that you can convince them to fold perhaps.

Lets assume that it's raised or 3-bet when it gets to you and you can read pretty clearly that there are at least a couple players you aren't going to fold out.

again, it can be kind of close in these situations because for $2 or something and trying to win $4000 maybe you really do have the odds to hit a 1:2000 parlay of your last raise being so intimidating combined with all your opponents being so stupid that nobody calls you.


I wonder if there have ever been ANY milestone hands that have been checked down. Seems someone is always betting.
I also wonder if there has ever been a milestone hand where the pot was won without a showdown. Even with all the stupid players in these things, I doubt that has ever happened.

Maybe on a 6-max table with only 4 dealt in or something perhaps.
