Default (109) Mid-game play, QQ gets c/r\'ed on a K-high flop

Full Tilt Poker $100+9 No-Limit Hold'em Tourney
Big Blind is t100 (8 handed)

UTG (t1350)
UTG+1 (t2450)
MP1 (t1295)
MP2 (t2560)
Hero (t1650)
Button (t1520)
SB (t1400)
BB (t1275)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
<font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to t300</font>, <font color="#666666">Button folds</font>, SB calls t250, <font color="#666666">BB folds</font>.

Flop: <font color="blue">(t700)</font> K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
SB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets t300</font>, <font color="red">SB raises to t800</font>, <font color="#666666">Hero folds</font>.

I have no specific reads on SB other than he isn't completely terrible. His play has seemed slightly loose-passive, maybe 25/5 up to this point. Where did this go wrong?

You could raise more preflop, but other than that, if villain still calls, I don't know what else you can do. I think the fold is the correct way to go.

This is how I play it. The only place I could see playing it differently is to do 250 instead of 300 pre. This will save a few chips there and make your cbet a little cheaper.

the king really sucks and this board is super dry, unless we have a read that he can do this with air (theres no semi bluff here) than id probably just give it up now.

I think you played it perfect. Maybe 350-400 instead to discourage the loose blind player from calling with mediocre hands, but that's about it. Good sized cbet, good fold. Nh.

I'd probably check the flop. I'd rather check then push and I'm never big on bet/folding as you all know. You might be too short to finesse but I think I'd take my chances here. You are gonna get pot stuck if you decide to call the turn but the chance that he has a king shold be low enough to make it work.

Actually I'd just go all-in PF but that's another story

I don't. I didn't play this hand. It's my opinion that it was played poorly in at least two places, possibly three.
