Re: video recommendations for 9th grade church group
I would definitely second Cinderella Man.
Oh, and the Jesus Camp response was so funny. It's funny because it shows the negative side of some Christian churches, and then you're going to show that negative side to a group of young people who are actually in a Christian church. You're funny. |

(Some people consider it more like secular humanism than a true church.) Jesus Camp may actually be reasonable (though I think I will take the safer route and avoid it). |

Re: video recommendations for 9th grade church group
i think i'd like Breakfast Club better than Stand by Me.
I also watched Bowling for Columbine around 9th/10th grade. Maybe it'd be interesting to show that or F9/11? |

Re: video recommendations for 9th grade church group
Kes
The story of one boy and a kestrel it was mandatory for all British school children to see it in my day. While American coming of age movies have optimistic messages about hard work and the American dream, Kes is more truthful, your dreams will be crushed so knuckle down and conform. |

Re: video recommendations for 9th grade church group
When I was in 9th grade religion, we watched Leap of Faith. If I remember right, it was pretty good. It's about a guy (Steve Martin) that sets up a fake healing/travelling ministry, like Benny Hinn I guess.
