Default 200NL: Tough spot with KK

Villain is 12/8 over 371 hands.

This was a tough spot for me because villain only has 8%pfr. What do you do here? I really feel like he has AA.

He would never reraise QQ, AKs?

I would reraise pre-flop and lead flop if only called.

I run at 11/6 and I would 3 bet here with 1010+ and AK, maybe 99 depending on the villain

It makes my hand so much easier to play post flop

3 bet this preflop

Any other opinions? So standard play is 4-bet pre with KK? It's tough to find out where im at on this flop because if i c/r im pretty much committed...do i just stick it in there and hope he doesnt have AA?

Do you rr pre from 4 to 16bb's with TT and AK? That seems unusually big.

We would like more of a read on villain like how often is he rr'ing from co and btn and what is his standard rr size. Also, we would like to know op's pfr numbers as the higher they are the less we have to fear the rr.

We can't expect our decision on the flop to be easy unless an A or K hits so until we have a better read of villain I'm inclined to play weak tight and fold pre to the huge rr.

Red, folding here PF seems pretty awful to me and I can be pretty weak tight.

Reraise pf makes the decisons post flop much easier with us being out of position and if he pushes grit our teeth and call, or could just shove now he may call with any pair thinking you have AK.

As played its push or fold time dependant on how I am feeling, his bet just looks a standard continuation bet and you have played your hand like AK or a medium pocket pair so he may just be expecting to take it down.

I would probably lead at this to see how he reacts, although given his likely range on that flop we are only ahead of QQ and AK now maybe 10's AQ at a push.

Yeah, I know it seems awful and maybe it is. I think it's pretty read and image dependent.

On the flop I think bet out is worse than check calling. The idea being that check calling tells him exactly what you have(pretty much) but it doesn't tell him for certain if you are going to felt it no matter what or not. In other words, I don't think villains AK or QQ will bet again while AA will. On the other hand if op bets out AA can cold call and so can QQ and op will still not know where he is at and still wont know if he checks the turn and villain bets.

These considerations would be helped by a bit of a read like how tight is villain post flop? How jammy? And how does villain see op, like, does he think op may be a call down monkey?

Getting 16bb's in preflop oop is tough. Another consideration is how often villain will slow down on turn with AA. Some will do that a lot for pot control fearing a set of J's but will bet river if op checks it.

I agree that 3bet push is better than 3bet non push.

I subscribe to Harrington's view that folding KK pf is -EV because sometimes you are going to be the tightest player on AA when he doesn't have it and that's money down the drain.

Therefore, reraise pf and get in all in there if possible.
