Not often enough. Actually, against a 33% stealer, I wouldn't do it too too much. But against a 40%+ stealer, I think I should be doing it a lot more. I am pretty sure that 40% stealing is exploitable and this is one of the ways.

Example please.

This whole play is one that I have started to make less often lately as it doesn't seem to work for me.

Yes, it depends on your image. There's no general rule.

I didn't mean to imply that it depends on your image. I don't why you would infer that. I think the vast majority of players on this forum would have similar images since they have similar styles.

I would like to see examples of this play in action - especially considering poker101 says he does it "Fairly often with a hand I can call a 3bet with ".

A few examples:
Button opens (ATSB = 35%)

1. you call with Qh8h. Flop: Jh 2c 4s.
2. you call with JTo. Flop: K 2 5 rainbow.
3. you call with 89s. Flop: Q 4 3 rainbow.
4. you call with A4o. Flop: J 6 2 rainbow.
5. you call with J9o. Flop: A 6 7 rainbow.

I did this for awhile as an experiment, and most of the monkeys called me down with Ace- and King- high anyway. Maybe it's because i don't have the temerity to fire 3 barrels on a drawless board when a semi-sane player calls, but it seemed futile to me.

This echoes my sentiments exactly. I feel it's a leak that I'm trying to plug but sometimes I can't help myself.

Yes, I am more interested in fending off the 40% stealer than the 35...
