Default Kinda sick JJ hand

Oh man, I hated this hand.

Anyways... This is a 5/10 game and the feature is directly to my right. He's 50.5/3.6/0.5 after 220 hands. Oddly, he's villain in this hand.

Anyways, LPP limps UTG, villain above limps MP, hero raisee CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], button folds, and a pretty aggro tag calls in the SB, an unknown guy with taggish stats so far calls in the BB, the fishies call.

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5 handed 10sb

Checked to MP, mp bets, I raise, sb folds, bb calls, utg calls, villain 3-bets, hero?

-----

What's my plan here?

I mean, barring something like tilt, I think he's got a good hand here, but he could be on a drawwish hand, or a small overpair. He could have something like AA here, given his stats... who knows.

I'm kinda thinking that I should call the three-bet, fold 3's, flush cards, and probably A's, raise every other card (calling if an 8 hits), and fold if I get three-bet.

Now, the folding to the three-bet part might be retarded, but, whatever, that's my plan at this point, please feel free to comment on it.

ugh, tricky spot.

i hate poker so my thought process may be clouded here, but I like a call here. Its not as likely that the ep players will cap a draw from so far out of position, and you clearly cant protect against the draws at this point anyway.

This also leaves the initiative with mp, so he may continue to bet his one pair or big draw hand on the turn, allowing you to raise and shut out the field.

He can't have many draws that leave you completely dead, and consequently I think folding a club on the turn is a mistake unless you completely remove all straights, sets, two pairs, and 66-TT from his range (which i'm disinclined to do).

If you get headsup on the turn, i just run to showdown from there.

If you're still multiway you can find a fold depending on the action.

if you catch trips you have to put more in with the loser (my MO)

If a 3 or A drops and you don't catch the flush redraw you can probly pitch.

ur really not that far behind his range here, even people with passive stats go off with like 99 here trying to " protect their hand with a raise" even tho noone who called two is going to fold for one (or even two ) more now. theyre just too stupid to know that.

I like a call here if we get trips i feel great obviously if an ace or 3 fall u can def pitch like guru said if u dont have a redraw.

I've been thinking about this hand for like 30 minutes, and I still don't have a good answer.

I could cop out by saying, just call down, the pot is big.

I think the difficulty here is putting the 50/3/.5 villain on a range. Knowing how often you are ahead here is difficult. Anyone want to take a shot at a hand range? I personally think that if he is on a draw, it is a big draw. I don't see this type of player bet/3-bet out of position that often with weaker draws. Overpairs and sets are all possible.

Interesting and tough hand. I'd like to see what others think

I'm not sure that you can ever shut out the field here on the turn. The pot will be huge. So I think the raise would have to be for value, which it might.

Given everything we know, calling, and calling down if it's not more than one to you on the turn/river can't be horrible, given that you have an overpair, and the pot is large. Folding doesn't totally suck either, reverse-implied odds and all (I mean the parlay that you are both ahead currently, and will stay ahead given the bazillion players and kajillion draws in the hand, is pretty big). Putting in more action absent spiking a jack seems spewtastic.
