Hi primate,

They have some other "value" to some players...but not up for open talk.

They are also used to calculate what your RB % should be.

Best Regards

I've got about 111 MPPs with 530 hands NL100 (of which 431 6max, 99 FR), and 84 hands NL50 (6max). Rake paid according to PT: $35.25, so on average 3.14 (omg PI) MPPs per $1 in rake.

I have a question about mpps.

Say you deposit in £, you can still play $ tables. Am I right in thinking that you would potential earn more MPPs playing 100$ NL than 50£ NL.

This is because mpps are rewarded per unit of rake e.g 1$ of rake will earn the same mpps as 1£ of rake. E.g the unit raked is 1 in both cases.

Clarification would be appreciated.

It does not matter what currency your account is in, you will exchange it when sitting at and leaving the table (at the same exchange rate) if it is not in your native currency.

The MPPs do not differentiate the currency, so yes a pot raked 0.99 pounds at a pound table will give 1/4 MPP while a pot raked $1 at a dollar table will give a full MPP despite it being worth less then half as much in actual money.

Another example - a tournament that costs 5 pounds and 0.50 pounds rake will give 1.5 MPPs while a $10 +$1 tourney will give 3 MPPs despite costing about the same.

Basically you get higher MPP value the cheaper the currency you play in and these days the US dollars is approaching the peso so...

Rakeback calculations will convert to your account currency and will reflect the actual rake amounts regardless of currency, so a 1 pound raked pot will give approximately twice the rakeback as a 1 dollar raked pot all other things being equal.

Exactly monteroy - what bugs me is people play games in £ when they would get twice the points by playing in dollars
