I can't speak for how they are to dealers, but it's limited regardless. You're talking about La Center card rooms, and only three deal poker. Only other alternative is Spirit Mountain, and if you are moving to Portland proper that's a good hour and a half away.

Thanks Porter, (love the name and the avatar!)

I know there are others just a little north of La Center but I cant think of the name of the towns. (New Grizzley and what not). Im just trying to figure out if there is a possibility of making a living dealing while living in Portland. How is the action at the casinos in S. WA?

hey, im from longview washington, i now live in la and play mid/highstakes no limit cash games online and at the commerce....

i wokred as a poker dealer at teh cadilac ranch, which is one of the casinos north of la center, the other being the grizzly located in kelso....they both spread like 3-6 t o 5-10 limit with a table or two ususaly going ....

washingtin state laws prhibit Nl games, but u can find a few at the indian casinos, spirtit moutnain, muckleshoot etc...

as far as teh games in lacenter they offer real juicy 10-20/15-30 limit games and a super soft 4-40 spread game that i played in some this summer

lots of action, but small stakes, good games if u play those limits tho

Interesting. So no NL games but they allow spread limit. San Jose just south of San Francisco is the same thing. Im looking forward to going and taking a look at the areas around where I want to move to.

Every little bit of info helps. When you were living in Longview did you ever hear of a cardroom that was supposed to open/has opened by the name of Riverboat Columbia in Vancouver?
