The bigger the stacks involved the less likely I've found it's aces. Am I confused about your post?

I've already started adjusting back. I don't 3-bet aces with a big stack the first couple rounds at the table, but as soon as I feel like people have a decent idea how I play, I 3-bet my good aces fairly often figuring people won't give me credit for AAxx anyway.

no, it's just that once upon a time you could count on someone having aces when they 3-bet you. now you can count on them not having aces. that is all.

I don't find that this is the case in the games I play, people are pretty balanced.

I'm guilty.

Well, sort of, when I three bet aces I make sure they are good aces, double suited, another pair, etc. That way I have another way to bust someone.

Opponent dependent. There are starting to be more of them though. Where is this prediction of yours? Have you made any other Nostradamus like calls?

crypto has some crazy monkey tilt raisers.

I would say optimal is raising with a mix of medium to good aces and other good coordinated hands. Basically I think people who always call when they are out of position with anything can be exploited with the right mix and post flop strategy.

I've found it interesting how often LAGs shut down when you 3 bet them at a reasonably frequency. It also helps differentiate between the quality of the LAG. The bad ones will put both of you all in as a dog or continually set themselves up for big pots OOP.

Also, 3 betting does wonders for isolating an exploitable target. All the people in the middle are often afraid (at first) of getting caught in between if the original raiser re-raises you.
