What are you talking about? He's the best TE in football this year and by a wide margin. He has 623 yards on 67 targets. In other words, every time the QB throws a pass directed at him, he averages 9.3 yards.

he had a slow start because he had to stay in and block as others have mentioned. When you have a backup starting you need to make sure he is protected. He really exploded when they started releasing him, but he's also missed a little time (only a game I think) with a seperated shoulder. Saying he has been a zero this year is a joke. Antonio Gates is about the only tight end I'd rather currently have on my team
