Re: Summer \'07 TV Discussion
Anyone watch "Flight of the Conchords"? Just set DVR last night to catch episodes, looks kind of amusing.

The previews make it look like some attempt at indie-NYC scene humor, but with Kiwi transplants instead of NYC hipster dudes. I still have no idea what John From Cincinnati is about, but I'll definitely give that a few viewings given the quality of Milch's previous work. |

Sam - whoops, no, for some reason I thought "Flight" premiered last night after Entourage, it's actually premiering June 17th.

I'm also looking forward to the new episodes of Studio 60. Maybe I'm on the of the few that like that show? [/ QUOTE ] Me too. Is the deal with this show that it's officially dead, but they're just airing the rest of the first season during the summer? Or is there some snowball's chance in hell it could actually return? Cuz that'd be cool. |

Re: Summer \'07 TV Discussion
A couple of Showtime shows to look forward to in August:
1. Weeds.... Gonna be interesting how season 3 starts considering how crazy it got at the end of season 2. 2. Californication... Stars David Duchovny. Can read about it here: Californication The preview for the show looks pretty funny. |

Am I the only one that liked the Pilot and first episode of Traveler? I thought it had a lot of potential.

Re: Summer \'07 TV Discussion
Clark and Michael stars Michael Cera (from Arrested Development) and his buddy making a mockumentary following there efforts to pitch a scirpt in Hollwood. New webisodes hit every Wednesday and are about 10 minutes.
Supposedly CBS is behind the production after Clark shot the original "movie" for his senior thesis. For any fans of Arrested Development, it is worth checking out. |

Re: Summer \'07 TV Discussion
Watched some TV last night:
Hidden Palms - this is some new CW teen show which is about a "troubled" kid who moves with his mom and stepfather to Palm Springs. Sorta like the O.C. There is some weird subplot about the kid who used to live in the main character's house, who killed himself, contacting the main character via IM chat. Not sure what is going on there. The chick on the show is kinda hot, though, and she usually wears a bikini for at least a quarter of the show. Last Comic Standing: Last night was the premiere episode. They had auditions in NYC, Montreal (WTF?), and Las Vegas. A lot of the people suck, but there were some promising performances. My favorite was this guy http://www.melsilverback.com/, who is a cross between Henny Youngman and Magilla Gorilla. Really groundbreaking stuff. |
