Default live 2/5 hands

here are a few hands from Casino Windsor 2/5 FR 200 max buy in game.

i play in this game pretty regularly and am known to the game as very tigh
t tricky player. i had just doubled off of villian with AK on a KK9 against his A9 5 or 6 hands ago. VIllian is not a good player really at all. Just bets really strongly on his strong hands. I know he has a strong hand but I dont know if im winning or not. I figure i get to see his hand cuz one of the short stacks will call but i just dont know what im beating for my whole stack.
Hero ~ 500
Villian covers

Hero QcQs
Hero raises to 30 utg
MP calls 30 (115 to start the hand)
LP calls 30 (150 to start hand)
Button makes it 130
Hero ???

Next hand actually is against one of the 2 players whom i respect as a player and we have not tangled once in the first 3 hours at the table. He views me as a tight player and i dont think he wants to tangle with me based on how bad the rest of the table is.

Hero ~ 650
Villian covers
Preflop:
Hero : JsJh

Villian makes it 20 in MP
Hero makes it 75 directly to his left. (I just wanted to take it down right here since he is a player that id rather not battle with and I think he thinks the same so he will fold anything but premium hands)
Villian calls

Flop (157)
10s6h4s
Villian checks
Hero bets 75
Villian check raises to 150
Hero ???

I cant think of a hand I beat, 1010 just caught up.
Comments on preflop and flop bets please. I dont like the way i played this hand.

Hand 1: You arn't making the short stacks fold here with a reraise. They do sound like monkeys to call off 1/4 of their stack to begin with but if you raise or call they will justify the size of the pot being so large to make them call. And they may be right depending upon their holding. I would just call. Will villian bet into a dry sidepot on the flop regardless if he hit or not? Does he understand that even if he moves you off your hand he will have to show down the best hand to win? My decision would be based on those questions. Without that info, I just call and play poker.

Hand 2: Either check flop or bet more. Fold to any resistance. Your 1/2 pot bet can easily be exploited into a minraise, followed by a checked through turn thus giving him a free 2 cards to hit an enormous range (Any A/K/Q/spade/gutter straight...) or allow him to bluff you off the best hand with the same multitude of scare cards.

Hand 1: You are calling another $100 to win $220 plus implied odds. Good chance at least one of short stacks could move in. Now you are getting over 3:1 on your money. Check raise the flop if you hit a set. With implied odds this could put you close to 7:1 on your money.

Hand 2: Villian is representing a set both through his preflop bet and flop reraise. A bigger preflop reraise may have taken off the hand but then all you pick up is his $20 plus blinds. You also represent a big pair and now he is more inclined to call because he knows you will likely fire away on the flop, giving him even better odds for his small pair. Probablly the most profitable play in the end would have been to just smooth call, keeping the pot small, and keeping him guessing. That way if he does raise on the flop you loose less money.

these are both easy folds, imo. the cbet in hand 2 seems bad. bet the pot so villain thinks you're committed to felting (in which case you fold to a raise) or check behind.

gjpure,

Ummmm.......NO. Who says OP is losing? And since when is it profitable to play JJ so passively preflop with 4/5 people to still act. And the reraise size preflop is just fine. Rethink...

well i think hand 1 is a lil more difficult than hand 2. i folded both because i thought that i had a big enough advantage at the table to get my money in when i know i have more of a distinct advantage.
