This play is totally against my idea of playing a STT.

I would never open J9o on the button in a sng unless there were like 6 bb's at risk or you were on the bubble.

As played it seems like you just have to shove. check-min-check is rarely a hand thats going to call a shove here.

I'm not crazy about J9o for the preflop raise but I think the stacks are fine for a semi-steal raise in general. You can fold to a push and have enough behind to play if called.

The flop isn't terrible for a c-bet. They'll believe you have a Q and you're still not priced in to call a push. A check is fine too. If you bet and get called, you have to push the turn or lose the hand.

I'm sure the turn is a call even if you never win the pot improved.

A bet of t800 might get you a fold more often on the river, with the added bonus of being able to get away from a push. In general I hate that Phil Hellmuth "bet most of your stack and then fold because a push is always teh nutz," but J-high is never good, so it's not a problem.

I don't know why all of you hate the preflop raise for stack size reasons. 12 BB essentially equals 9.5 BB for the purposes of preflop restealing and open-push folding equity. If he starts the hand with <11 BB I agree because <8 BB stacks can't really re-push preflop without a premium hand, since they almost always get called.
