Default $100 NL Blind battle set hand that I didn\'t enjoy

I haven't played much with this guy yet; he seems loose passive so far, but it's too early to be sure. I just called the turn because I was worried that he just made his hand and was planning to reraise. When he checked the river, I figured he had some strange two pair or something and I thought the guy was loose enough to pay off, so I value bet.

Stack sizes:
UTG: $269.45
CO: $128.75
Button: $85
SB: $169.75
Hero: $121.30

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
3 folds, SB calls $0.5, <font color="#color:">Hero raises to $3</font>, SB calls $3.

Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($6, 2 players)
<font color="#color:">SB bets $3</font>, <font color="#color:">Hero raises to $10</font>, SB calls $7.

Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($26, 2 players)
<font color="#color:">SB bets $4</font>, Hero calls.

River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($34, 2 players)
SB checks, <font color="#color:">Hero bets $15</font>, <font color="#color:">SB raises to $30</font>, Hero folds.

I think everything was fine up until the river. Any hand that you beat folds, so check behind and hope for the best.

I'm raising the turn to $20, going from there.

Raise more on the flop. Flush draws almost never fold at these limits, so don't worry about raising too much.

As played, raise the turn to at least $20. These bets almost always mean villain is drawing. Sometimes they indicate very weak hands that don't like the flush hitting. Very rarely they are hands that want to 3-bet.

Check the river. I don't think worse hands are ever calling without a read.

I'd probably call this river raise. I think hands like 78 show up here a good amount of the time. I wouldn't have played it like this though, so this advice is somewhat moot.

Check River. It's curious why you bet the River into a player whose bets indicate a draw -- very weak -- when the River brings four cards to a straight.
