I'm guessing Doug's most likely hand is 66 with AT and, maybe, AK possible. Lag could have a lot of hands. We are beating most of them, but a lot of them (AT, etc) won't payoff a river bet so I would check and call the river. This has some chance of inducing a bluff and saves us from paying two bets when we're beat since it sounds like we can't b/f the river.

yeah i probably 4-bet preflop also... cold calling gives up too much info...

i would bet "DFM" has JJ/AT or it could be something screwy if he isolates light like QT? i'm not sure if putting so much action with 66 would be prudent but it's also a possibility i suppose...

Doug can easily have QT here.

FWIW was the game even profitable to sit in to begin with? sounds like a tough game with all those 2+2'ers there...

I'm shocked no one is advocating a healthy 4bet here pf. I mean, a LAG opens in MP and I 3bet in the HJ?? theres a decent chance joe is up against 4 undercards. Too much value left on the table, not to mention joes 2.33 cold calling range is prett slim here, so I think his hand is way too readable, and my hand can be defined a bit more by my reaction to joe's 4bet. I almost posted this hand from my point of view. I'm curious to see what you guys put me on.

[/ QUOTE ]

good point I thought you guys were closer to EP. But yeah, even then his hand probably gets defined too much by calling.

I put you on QT, KT, AT. I can't really justify your play with anything else except maybe the other TT. Unless of course I'm completely missing something.

"No. Anglo, usually wears a baseball cap. You'd remember him, from the tattoos, if you knew him."

it's strange.. cause i remember a guy exactly like you guys were describing him last year during wsop... i think he had a scar on his neck or face and yeah he was wearing a hat..

the reason i remember him so vividly is because he was one of the most aggressive players i have ever played with and it was a big change from what i was used to back east...

What's your line and how did I do so far?

[/ QUOTE ]

check and call one.

its a bizarre hand, but you are playing against guys who are pretty much capable of anything at anytime albeit with much different reasoning.

Check and call.

Rest of the hand is fine. Doug doesn't have AK so I wouldn't be too worried about this river card. You almost certainly have him beat unless he has KT.

[/ QUOTE ]

Given we have Doug beat and the other guy is a dumb LAG who didn't bet the turn, why don't we value bet? Check and call and hope who bluffs that didn't bluff the turn? I'm with you, putting Doug on QT and such, and other guy can have like any pair, too much value when he'll probably call.

Tattoo is going to bluff at this river 99 times out of 100 when checked to.

He would have to be mega-bad to think he could bluff this pot. If anything he value-bluffs. Not sure I would bet, cause I dont think I could fold to a raise and getting raised here would suck.
