Yeah. I'm pretty sure they can't sell bottled beverages, or pitchers. So I really don't see the point of going to the bars. Plus, they will be infested with cops, so being < 21 is no bueno.

Magnum malt was the only stuff they had at the time, and it was cheap, so we got it.

we played the first game of beerpong at 12am tonight. we have 3 kegs of green Miller Lite. Itinerary ...
6:30am- wake up and shower
7am- drink first beer while making eggs
7:30am- play beerpong
10am- go to class hammered
11:05- drink
1pm- stumble to La Bamba
2pm- drink more
and then i prolly wont know whats goin on the rest of the day

seriously....unofficial started in full force in '96 IIRC. I've been here since '97. This is one 'tradition' that the new chancellor is not a big fan of. It's getting bigger each year as more and more people from outside the University of Illinois make the trip (ie friends/relatives at the other state schools and nearby big10 universities).

The whole reason it came up was a greedy bar owner (Cochran). St Pat's often falls during Spring Break. To make up for it, the bar owner invented unofficial St. Pat's the first Friday of March. It's basically St. Pat's day in Champaign tomorrow.

My gf has to be at her place at 8AM to drink.
I'll be there about noon and will drink most of the day.
