This Probably Doesn't Happen to Most of You (NC)

This is a content-free post. This might well make it indistinguishable from my other posts. In any case, you can't say I didn't warn you.

I was at Town Hall Brewery this evening, killing time between free beer hour and the John Williams/Dean Magraw show (not that John Williams) at the Cedar. Killing time and killing brain cells, as it were. I actually ordered something that included some vegetables for supper, which is outside the norm for me (how many fat vegetarians do you know?). I had originally met my good buddy Kevin at Town Hall, but he had to go be a husband or some such, so I hung out and chatted with several people--Steve, Jim, this guy Jake, various bar staff, etc. I wind up chatting with the guy on my right, someone I hadn't seen before. After a bit, he asks if I play at Canterbury. I tell him that I've played there quite a bit over the years, but not much lately. Apparently, he's never seen me out there. He recognizes me from my occasional posts in the B&M forum.

Now I've had people recognize me from 2+2 at Canterbury and occasionally other rooms. This I expect. I don't expect it from some random guy in a bar. Both Jeffage and mscags have told me that I don't look like my picture. Actually, this guy told me it didn't click until he heard the various bartenders call me "Andy." But still. Jeff and Mike were supposedly looking for me.

Anyway, this was a first for me. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

If you feel this doesn't belong here, notify the moderator and see if he does anything about it.

lol.. i dont think i would want to be recognized by anybody.. i love the interesting discussions we have in here and all.. and thats great, but if i was in a bar hangin out w/ my friends or a girl and someone came up to me and mentioned they recognize me from an 80x80 pixel picture on a poker forum i'd be a lil creped.

I generally enjoy being recognized in casinos, although I really don't like to talk much about the site at the table. This was a little weird, although I didn't mind it really.
