Re: FT NL100 6Max - Analysis of getting pwned hard
[ QUOTE ]
BTW, given your history, most big hands, aka big pairs would check behind on this flop. when you attack his "weakness" on the flop, that actually looks very transparent after you call his 3bet. if you really had AA or KK, you'd be more inclined to keep him in the hand and induce bluffs and calls since he made his play look like a resteal. A check behind and a raise on the turn would probably be more effective. [/ QUOTE ] the thing is, even if it looks transparent, if he has no hand, what is he going to do about it? you make an interesting point though. and while i'm not sure i would check AA or KK on this flop (or even any hand with a 9), that may be a leak on my part. i'll give this some thought. thanks. |

the thing is, even if it looks transparent, if he has no hand, what is he going to do about it? [/ QUOTE ] He is going to float you, he is going to c/r you with air and big hands, he is calling you down with marginal hands. I think you should use your position more to force him to show you what he is really up to instead of betting his hand for him. It's not a shame to avoid the hardest player at the table and it's usually an ego problem to try to outplay them and say "I need to learn to play against these guys." I think not realizing not to play against these people in the first place is the bigger leak than not knowing how to play against them. I hope you stacked the donk a few times though and evened out your mistake. |
